Banana & Hemp Seed Smoothie


Start the day off with this nutrient packed, mood boosting smoothie. The smoothie has a good balance of protein & slow releasing carbohydrates that will keep your energy stable throughout the morning. Bananas are packed full of nutrients including mood boosting magnesium, B6 & serotonin. The cinnamon, honey & turmeric will add antimicrobial, antibacterial & anti-inflammatory benefits respectively. The yogurt provides good bacteria for a healthy gut & immune system. Furthermore, hemp seeds are packed full of protein, omega 3 & omega 6 fatty acids, calcium, vitamin E, zinc & iron.

Morning sorted!

There is no milk in added to this smoothie as your essentially making hemp seed milk with the seeds & the water.

Ingredients

1heaped tbs of yogurt

2 bananas

2 tbsp of hemp seeds

1/2 tsp turmeric

1/2 cinnamon

1 tsp of raw honey

1/2 cup of water

Handful of ice


Method

Blend all ingredients together in a blender until smooth.
